Weekend Walks Made Easy

Saturdays are the highlight of the week for me. We take the boys walking, enjoying time with just the family and make our moments in the wilderness, albeit Hampstead Heath. Joe always leads the way, with my husband pushing him in his wheelchair and Jeremy usually skipping behind. Joe is our team leader and I thought enjoyed the job, but I often caught him looking back and trying to stay involved with the pack. We used to walk him backwards sometimes to keep him involved, but that just made him feel sick. Since we found the Universal Walker, things have improved. Joe no longer needs to feel disconnected from the family, we all walk alongside one another, our crew in tact. We now can keep everyone involved for hours at a time, or what time we have before the kids go back into their digital domains. I truly cherish our moments and especially Joe’s smiling face, even if it is to cringe at my terrible jokes.
