When they called me to offer the job, there was no way I could refuse. We had just moved and the rent was almost double. Henry was always late with Jesse’s support and her fees tripled since Holland Road Primary. I had to double efforts to keep up with the work, but still managed to hold onto the freelance position by a whisker, at least I could call my hours and work remotely. I’d always been pretty good with time management, never late for meetings and always a day before admin deadlines. A friend had worked on a new mobility product and introduced me to the Universal walker within a week of the transition, I love synchronicity. I was unclear of the benefits until she explained that it allowed eye to eye contact with children in buggies and prevented having to push chairs into traffic (a pet peeve of mine). I was sold and had one within days. It wasn’t until I used it that I noticed the phone dock and started to take meetings whilst walking with Jesse. The wireless charger added hours of screen time and the dock allowed me to navigate emails easily with one hand. We are now able to go out for most of the morning and I lose no work time at all – sweet!!!
